PHNOM PENH, March 2, 2026 – A Cambodian government-linked working group delivered vegetables and duck eggs to 931 displaced families sheltering at a pagoda-based safety centre in O’Chrov district, Banteay Meanchey province, officials said on March 2.
The delegation, representing the Royal Government Working Group for O’Chrov district, distributed produce to families temporarily staying at Wat Chan Sy Ratanaram in Kob commune, according to the state-run Agence Kampuchea Presse (AKP).
Tan Phannara, deputy head of the working group, said the government’s priority was citizen welfare and that officials and local authorities would continue providing assistance, AKP reported.
O’Chrov district governor Keo Dara Raksmey said local authorities were maintaining security, food supplies and welfare services at the shelter to ensure displaced residents were not left without support, according to the report.
AKP said families fled following reported incursions by Thai troops along the Cambodia–Thailand border. The account could not be independently verified from the information provided in the statement.
